Rachel is a DeSoto County native, having been raised in Olive Branch, MS where she continues to live today. She graduated from Olive Branch High School with honors, and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a double minor in psychology and chemistry from the University of Mississippi in 2004. She continued her studies at Union University’s Accelerated Program where she graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following graduation Rachel was a nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit where she cared for patients with multisystemic medical healthcare needs that included post cardiovascular surgeries, respiratory illnesses, as well as renal diseases. In 2009 Rachel graduated Cum Laude from Union University with a Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner.
Rachel comes to Bagwell Medical Clinic with 15 years of practicing experience in Primary and Urgent care and a total of 18 years of medical experience. She has a desire to provide meaningful quality care to patients and to cultivate positive relationships that benefit their wellbeing. Rachel supports patients in their daily efforts to improve their heath and lives as a whole.
Rachel is married with 3 children and resides in Olive Branch, MS. She attends First Baptist Church of Olive Branch and serves on several teams that help with mission projects locally and internationally. She and her husband have an extensive international travel history and look forward to showing the array of cultures to their children one day. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to historical audiobooks, beach/pool time, and hitting challenging trails while camping with her family.
